These treats are super easy and make a perfect opportunity for getting the kids involved. They look so sweet and impressive bagged up as presents!
Icing sugar, sift
Natural peppermint extract
Plain chocolate, melted
Step 1 of 3
Gradually mix the icing sugar into the condensed milk. Add the peppermint extract and mix until you have a smooth, kneadable dough. You may need a little extra icing sugar.
Step 2 of 3
Dust a clean surface with plenty of icing sugar and roll out the mixture to 5mm (¼") thickness. Cut into rounds with a small cutter. Chill in the fridge for 1-2 hours or leave in a cool place to dry (about 2-3 hours).
Step 3 of 3
Drizzle the peppermint creams with the melted chocolate or dip to coat one half. Allow to set. Keep refrigerated in an airtight container and use within 3 weeks.
You could cut these into thin squares and when dry dunk them gently into melted dark chocolate until they are completely coated. Leave to set for home made version of After Eights!
