Here's how easy it is...
  1. Place the white chocolate into a bowl and melt in a microwave, stirring occasionally. When melted add the Carnation Caramel and salt and stir thoroughly. As you stir, the mixture will thicken.
  2. Tip the warm mixture into a greased baking tray and spread evenly. Place in the fridge for 2 hours until hardened.
  3. Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave and pour over the fudge. Smooth and leave to set then cut into squares.

Made this today for the first time , it's been in the fridge since 1pm and it's still soft , looking at other comments , any ideas what I've done wrong , it was simple to make just Isn't setting at all :(

    Carnation says:
Hi Valerie, it might be that you didn't quite use enough white chocolate. The fudge does have a soft creamy finish but if you want it a little harder then add some extra white chocolate.

After following the recipe to the letter I still found that it doesn't really set like fudge. It stays very soft and doesn't really hold its shape especially when you try and cut it and is very sticky. It tastes ok though but possibly needs a bit of a tweek to make it firmer.

    Carnation says:
Hello Rachel, sorry to hear that you are having troubles with your Quick and Easy Fudge. If you love a traditional fudge as much as we do why not try the Carnation Ultimate Fudge recipe? This will give you the harder set you are looking for.

Made this for my work colleagues... Was so easy to do! Mine set perfectly, but I did leave it overnight before I cut it.

Made this for the first time today, really simple recipe but the end results weren't great. After being in my fridge for 6 hours this still hasn't set enough to cut,it's definitly not fudge texture more like caramel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tastes just like a mars bar! This fudge is so yummy and very easy to make. l have made this 3 times now for visitors and everyone goes away with the recipe. The most difficult thing about this fudge is cutting it up as with any fudge - takes a bit of patience. Alternatively if it is for family only, just cut into big chunks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This doesn't last long! I made a batch of this for wedding favours. It is softer than regular fudge but tastes sweet and delious. I'm going to try again with milk chocolate - any pointers carnation?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and easy nostalgic nibble I always made fudge with my nan as a child. Remember when she got the tin of Carnation out of the cupboard that it meant it was fudge time! So this recipe is really a trip down memory lane for me, and I look forward to making fudge with my grandchildren with my Carnation.
