If you can't find whipping cream you can use double cream - but it will be firmer to set and higher in calories! Always leave it out for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Super creamy, no churn ice cream that anyone can make! You could almost make it with your eyes shut! Scoop it into cones or serve by itself its so unbelievably delicious...

Whipping cream

600ml

Flaky sea salt

1 rounded tsp

Step 1 of 2

Whip the cream until soft peaks form using an electric hand whisk.

Step 2 of 2

Beat the caramel with the salt in a small bowl and then fold into the whipped cream. Spoon into a clean freezer safe plastic box and freeze for 4 hours or until solid. No beating or churning required!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I scream for ice cream When i saw this recipe i knew that i just had to make it.I'm a huge fan of anything salted caramel and an even bigger fan of Carnation products,having been weaned on evaporated milk,and had it poured over many tins of fruit cocktail in childhood.This recipe was really easy to make and the end result blew me away.Definitely going to try some more ice cream recipes using the Carnation range soon.

Made this today to take as my contribution to a Sunday lunch tomorrow, I could only get double cream so I put a portion in a ramekin to try…..just in case! I needn’t have worried, it was really lovely, quite parfait like but I would imagine if I’d used whipping cream it would’ve been lighter, I’ve no complaints though, just hope everyone likes it tomorrow! Oh and I saved a little of the salted caramel and drizzled on the top of the filled tub before freezing, for a Chef like finish.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad for a first attempt! Never made ice cream before but this looked really easy so have it a whirl. Didn't have shipping cream so used double as per recipe alternative, it wasn't like 'shop' I've cream at all but it was still very nice. I'll definitely try it again.
