If you can't find whipping cream you can use double cream - but it will be firmer to set and higher in calories! Always leave it out for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Super creamy, no churn ice cream that anyone can make! You could almost make it with your eyes shut! Scoop it into cones or serve by itself its so unbelievably delicious...

Whipping cream

600ml

Flaky sea salt

1 rounded tsp

You will also need:

900g loaf tin or similar to store the ice cream

Step 1 of 2

Whip the cream until soft peaks form using an electric hand whisk.

Step 2 of 2

Beat the caramel with the salt in a small bowl and then fold into the whipped cream. Spoon into a clean freezer safe plastic box and freeze for 4 hours or until solid. No beating or churning required!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Add a little vanilla. This is delightful. I used double cream, but think whipping cream would be better, for me. Whipped with a tsp vanilla and a little icing sugar. Then added 2tbsp caramel and whisked in. Left plenty of caramel to marble in. Fantastic. Used up over purchased cream and well out of date caramel..fantastic.

I used double cream, & I swirled through some Carnation Caramel Drizzle before freezing (I used a chopstick to do this). It was a hit with the whole family…& looked so impressive too!

I saw this recipe and thought that it looked so quick and simple that I would try it. It tasted so much better than shop bought salted caramel ice cream, not as sweet and with the right amount of saltiness plus it was super smooth. Since then I have passed on this recipe to quite a few people who asked me for it after tasting.
