This Pistachio French Toast from Carnation takes fluffy brioche, a cosy vanilla-spiced soak and tops it all off with creamy yoghurt, fruity sweetness and a generous pistachio drizzle. It’s quick to make, feels a little bit fancy and tastes like the kind of breakfast you’d happily queue for at brunch.

Review - French Toast

For the toast:

Large eggs

2

Carnation Evaporated Milk

80ml

Whipping cream

40ml

Vanilla extract

1 tsp

Cinnamon

1/2 tsp

Brioche

4 slices

Vegetable oil

2 tbsp

To top:

0% fat Greek yoghurt

4 tbsp

Blackberry jam

4 tbsp

Carnation Pistachio Flavour Drizzle

Step 1 of 3

Whisk together the eggs, cream, milk, vanilla and cinnamon. Lay the brioche in a single layer in a shallow dish and pour over the eggy mixture. Allow to soak for 2-3 minutes then carefully turn over and soak for two minutes more.

Heat the oil in a large non stick frying pan and carefully place two slices of the soaked brioche into the pan. Cook for 3 minutes on each side until golden and crisp then remove and repeat with the remaining two slices.

Serve topped with the yoghurt, blackberries and Carnation Pistachio Flavoured Drizzle.
