Get ready to dunk, dip and delight with these golden, fluffy homemade donuts paired with our dreamy Carnation Pistachio Flavour dipping sauce. Light, airy and totally worth the wait, this fun recipe turns any kitchen into a mini bakery - perfect for sharing, showing off, and enjoying a little nutty sweetness.

Review - Donut

For the donuts:

Instant yeast

2 1/4 tsp

Warm water

120ml

Carnation Evaporated Milk

60ml

Unsalted butter, soft

60g

Large egg + 1 egg yolk

Caster sugar

Plain flour

Salt

Vanilla extract

1/2 tsp

Vegetable oil, for frying

For dipping:

Carnation Pistachio Flavour Drizzle

Step 1 of 9

To the bowl of a stand mixer, add the warm water, yeast and 2 tsp of sugar. Allow to sit for 5 minutes.

Add the evaporated milk, butter, eggs, the rest of the sugar and vanilla and use the whisk attachment to combine.

Switch to the dough hook. Mix the flour and salt together then add to the liquids in stages until a soft and sticky dough has formed. Knead for another 5 minutes until the dough is smooth and no longer sticky.

Place the dough in an oiled bowl and cover with cling film. Leave to rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.

Once risen, punch down and roll the dough out to about ½ inch thick. Cut out round shapes using a cutter and use a smaller cutter to cut out the middle.

Place on a floured tray and leave to rise again for another 3-40 minutes until the dough has risen again.

Add the oil to a large saucepan and heat to 185c. Carefully lower 2-3 donuts into the oil at a time and fry each side for about a minute until golden brown.

Remove from the oil and place on some kitchen roll to remove excess oil. Place on a cooling rack whilst you repeat the cooking process with the rest of the donuts.

Serve warm and enjoy with the Carnation Pistachio Flavoured Drizzle as a dipping sauce.
