Caramel Tips
Tip 1
Carnation caramel is delicious when spread on top of sponge cakes or covering a layer of shortbread or even on hot toast!
Tip 2
For a quick, smooth caramel sauce simply whisk the contents of the can for 1-2 minutes with an electric hand whisk.
Tip 3
Carnation Caramel is great for making sundaes - try our Banoffee version: slice bananas and layer up with whisked Carnation Caramel, grated chocolate, and vanilla ice cream.
Tip 4
Make BBQ Fruit parcels: chop up some soft summer fruit like strawberries, bananas and peaches, drizzle with spoonfuls of Carnation Caramel and wrap up in a double strength foil parcel. Cook on the barbie for roughly 5 minutes.
Tip 5
Heat a knob of butter in a frying pan and gently sauté; some chunky slices of Cox's apple, pear or banana until tender and light golden in colour. Mix Carnation Caramel with a little crème fraîche and add to the fruit. Heat through and serve with another dollop of crème fraîche. Easy and delicious!
Tip 6
Butterscotch pancakes: serve whisked Carnation Caramel over warm pancakes with cream or ice cream.
Tip 7
For cheat's toffee ice cream: simply beat together a can of Carnation Caramel and a small tub of soft scoop vanilla ice cream. Return to the freezer until set.
